The 2 Care site consists of seven houses and three flats within an acre of the same grounds in Christchurch Road. It also includes a three bedroom house facing the main site, and a four bedroom maisonette further along Christchurch Road. We are a short walk from nearby beaches, parks and shopping precincts, and Bournemouth town centre is easily accessible via the main rail and bus routes.

 

All rooms are single occupancy, with the majority being en suite.

 

In the main building, which consists of four large Victorian houses, there are two large social lounges where most people congregate throughout the evening. No smoking is allowed in bedrooms, due to insurance requirements and health and safety concerns.

 

There are two Laundry rooms with washing machines, tumble dryers, and ironing facilities.

 

Three separate houses and two flats on the complex cater for a more independent lifestyle.

 

There is a Garden Room/Aviary and secluded parts of the ornamental garden with fishponds and waterfalls for relaxation; in addition there is a large-screen TV/social area.

 

There are spacious areas for barbecues, discos, karaoke; a full size snooker/pool table, table tennis and a small gymnasium.

 

There is supported independent living accommodation in the community, 5 minutes from the main 2 Care complex, and this has placements for four Service Users.  Certain criteria have to be met by applicants for this accommodation. A six week trial would be put in place to assess suitability before a decision would be made. 

 

This accommodation is above the ‘The Well’ café, which is also owned and run by 2 Care.

 

Great care and attention is given to the decoration, finishing and maintaining of all 2 Care premises to create an atmosphere of comfort and homeliness.
